Blue and Gold Team

This year, the Blue and Gold Team is holding the Motsay Warrior 5K in memory of the late Capt. Kenneth C. Motsay, a staff member of the Maine Maritime Academy/University of Maine NROTC Unit. Our campaign aims to raise awareness of mental health in the military including veterans, active duty, and their families. A portion of the funds we raise will be used to operate the event, while the majority is donated to two organizations. The first is The Summit Project, a Maine based organization that serves as a living memorial to honor Maine's post 9/11 fallen service members. The other is the Motsay Fund, which grants awards to assist commissioning Navy and Marine Corps officers in starting their careers.
